Volunteer Opportunities

Be part of Cairns Italian Festival

Nonna Needs You!

Are you Italian, or do you want to be? (…of course you do!) Do you love events and being part of your local community? Then we’d love you to volunteer with the Cairns Italian Festival.

The festival runs on volunteers, both in the lead-up and during the festival itself. We need:

  • Coordinators for our committee
  • Helpers for smaller roles in the lead-up
  • Volunteers during the festival

Commitment is flexible, so you can fit it around your existing schedule.

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet like-minded people and make new friends, all while helping us make our festival the best one yet. You’ll also build great relationships with the local Italian community and give back to Cairns.

To say thank you, you’ll receive:

  • 2 passes to La Festa
  • A complimentary meal and drink at La Festa

Volunteer Roles

If you are interested in volunteering at the Cairns Italian Festival, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to put your name on the list to be notified when opportunities become available.

Join the Committee

Are you interested in joining the Committee? We are always on the hunt for great people who want to join our commitee and coordinator team. This is a volunteer position as well but is a lot more demanding than a festival volunteer. You will be required to assist in organising the festival in the lead up and attend regular meetings. Register your interest now.
