Italian Immigration Video Stories

The Faces of Italian Immigrants

Immigration Stories that helped to shape and build Far North Queensland

Every family has a story. Every journey has a beginning.

Please enjoy these migration stories, celebrating the journeys, sacrifices and achievements of Italian families who made North Queensland their home. We remember, celebrate and honour the people and families who helped shape our Italian community.

If you would like to share your story, we would love to hear it. Please get in touch with our committee by emailing, enquiries@cairnsitalianfestival.com.au.

To honour the 2022 Inaugural Foundation Sponsors and the history of many Italian families, we created a hardcover Foundation Book in 2022. This is an incredible piece of memorabilia with so many amazing heartfelt stories to treasure and respect a lifetime of memories.
