Our 2024 Festival has now finished. We will be back for 2025. If you are interested in volunteering in 2025 (dates to be released early 2025), please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to put your name on the list to be notified when opportunities become available.
Are you Italian or do you want to be? (of course you do!) Do you love events and being involved in your local community? Want to meet like-minded people and make new friends? Then, we would love to have you as a volunteer at the Cairns Italian Festival.
Volunteer support in the lead-up to the event as well as during the week-long festival is essential in making it a success. We are seeking volunteers for coordinator roles within our committee, smaller roles in the lead up to the festival, as well as volunteers for the week of the festival. Commitment is flexible, so you can work around your existing schedule!
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills through new experiences, meet new people and join a group of like-minded individuals who want to make this the best Cairns Italian Festival.

Join the Committee
Are you interested in joining the 2025 Committee? We are always on the hunt for great people who want to join our commitee and coordinator team. This is a volunteer position as well but is a lot more demanding than a festival volunteer. You will be required to assist in organising the festival in the lead up and attend regular meetings.
